Biography

Brad Johnson is cofounder of Tool Cognition, building the infrastructure layer that connects AI agents to live APIs — so any MCP client can call any service without code generation or custom integrations.

Born and raised in Silicon Valley, Brad specializes in product marketing and GTM strategy for early-stage developer tools and B2B platforms. He has over 10 years of experience spanning technology, biosciences, gaming, consumer products, and financial services.

Before Tool Cognition, Brad led product marketing at security automation startup Blink Ops. He's also worked at Netlify, which acquired FeaturePeek where he was Head of Marketing. Earlier stints include an IP law firm, several SaaS startups, field archaeology, and a year as a middle school substitute teacher.
